As years go by and new ones come in, we get fantastic new year traditions like Chinese New Year! Starting January 29th, 2025, is the Year of the Snake! Celebrations last up to 16 days, but only the first 7 days are considered a public holiday (January 29th–February 4th, 2025). Lunar New Year 2025 falls on Wednesday, January 29th, and celebrations culminate with the Lantern Festival on February 12th. Chinese New Year marks the transition between zodiac signs: 2025 is the Year of the Snake; 2024 is the Year of the Dragon. 3 diffrent Festivals happen during 3 different chunks of days. (Jan 21st–28th) Little Year - Preparations for the new year begin January 21st, 2025, and last until New Year's Eve. (Jan 29th–Feb 8th) Spring Festival - Lunar New Year officially begins on January 29th, 2025, and ends on February 8th. 2025. (Feb 9th–12th) Lantern Festival - Preparations begin February 9th, 2025, and the festival is held on February 12th, 2025.
